Facebook family it's been a month or so since my close friend and a man I call my brother passed away. I remember Mikey AKA Nidai Soke Michael De Pasquale a legend of Budo and BuJutsu. When I heard the news he had passed away my tears couldn't stop for hours. I did lose a brother whom I have known for 5 decades since 1963. His Dad Soke Michael De Pasquale was my mentor and a second dad for me, going to his house on weekends to spend a few nights and studying with him. I never had a pay a penny because of my financial situation. I have so many stories to talk about but sent a letter to my sister Nancy Martinez a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to read a little bit of my journey with Mikey because I am living in Japan and couldn't make the wake. I still cry nightly for him but his memory lives on in my mind and my heart. Nidai Soke Mike JR. touch so many people around the world a great loss to the martial arts community but more a great loss to his family older Son Tony and to Mike's daughter whom I never met all I can say is that is was a true warrior for people. God bless you all. If God willing Sept 9 is a ceremony seminar I believe in his name in Alpine NJ, I will try to be there to honor Mikey Nidai Soke Michael De Pasquale. To his students in Italy, he always express to me how much he loved you guys there in supporting him and his ideals of the Martial ways and Martial arts
